GEBCO Science Day at AGU 2014 - call for papers

The GEBCO Bathymetric Science Day is held every year and consists of oral presentations and poster displays on topics relating to ocean-floor mapping and its applications. Attendance is open to all.

This year, Science Day, will be held as a scientific session at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) 2014 Fall Meeting. The date of the session is yet to be confirmed but will be somtime between 15-19 December.

The session title is “New Perspectives on Seafloor Morphology from High-Resolution Ocean Mapping”.

Those wishing to contribute a presentation or poster should submit an abstract through the online AGU abstract system.

AGU’s submission deadline is 06 August 2014, 23:59 EDT (07 August at 03:59 GMT).

Contributors are also encouraged to publish their presentations on GEBCO’s website.

Science Day is an excellent venue for exchanging ideas and growing new collaborations. Please come, share your knowledge, and join an international and cross-disciplinary team engaged in exciting and fundamental work.

Any contributor to Science Day may attend all meeting days of GEBCO’s Technical Sub-Committee on Ocean Mapping (TSCOM) and Sub-Committee on Regional Undersea Mapping (SCRUM), 11-13 December 2014 at Google Headquarters, Mountain View, California.
