Spanish language version of the GEBCO TID Grid StoryMap now available
GEBCO’s global bathymetric grid is accomapnied by a Type Identifier (TID) Grid. The TID grid provides information on what type of source data that the GEBCO grid is based on, e.g. measured data (multibeam etc.) or prediction/interpolation.
The TID grid can help to highlight those areas of the seafloor that are considered mapped, within the GEBCO grid.
The Nippon Foundation-GEBCO Seabed 2030 Atlantic and Indian Ocean Regional Center have developed an Esri StoryMap to explain the concept of the TID Grid, why it was created and how it can be used.
A Spanish language version of the StoryMap is now available.
GEBCO's global bathymetric grid and TID grid can be downloaded as global files or for user-defined areas.
