GEBCO training program overview video

GEBCO has been funded by the Nippon Foundation of Japan to train a new generation of scientists and hydrographers in ocean bathymetry.

Capacity building is an important component of the program. A short overview video has just been released giving perspectives from GEBCO colleagues and scholars of the impact and success of the program.

The twelve-month course, leading to a Postgraduate Certificate in Ocean Bathymetry (PCOB) has been held at the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping / Joint Hydrographic Center (CCOM/JHC) of the University of New Hampshire, USA, since 2004.

Find out more about the training program and about the scholars.
