GEBCO Data Flow Workshop
Held at the US National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC), 9-11 March 2011
The aim of the workshop was to develop a plan to allow data to flow in a predefined manner though the GEBCO community and be incorporated into GEBCO's global bathymetric grid.
To support this effort, standard methodologies for data cleaning and gridding need to be agreed upon and a suite of tools to support this effort need to be identified and developed. At this technical workshop, each participating organisation briefly described its capabilities and processes. From these descriptions, synergies and common areas for cooperation were identified. This will help accomplish the goal of developing and improving the GEBCO 30 arc-second grid.
The report from the workshop is available here.
